Bell

Ashton Bell is making her mark in pro hockey and on the international stage. After beginning her PWHL career with the Ottawa Charge, she was selected first overall by Vancouver in the 2025 PWHL Expansion Draft and signed a two-year extension through 2027–28. On the national side, Ashton is no stranger to big moments. She’s a 2022 Olympic gold medallist and a multi-time IIHF World Championship gold winner with Team Canada.

As she builds Vancouver’s defense core, she’s also aiming at future Olympic cycles. While the 2026 / 2028 roster isn’t set yet, her track record, versatility, and consistency keep her in serious contention.

Who is ASHTON BELL ?

Born in Deloraine, Manitoba, Ashton Bell grew up surrounded by small-town hockey culture and early-morning rink routines. A natural leader with a playful streak, she’s known in the locker room as the quiet comedian.

She studied biology at the University of Minnesota Duluth, where she also made the bold switch from forward to defense — a career-defining decision that shaped the player she is today.

Off the ice, Ashton is all about authenticity and community. She’s an animal lover through and through, sharing her life with her dog and her horses. And yes… she has a slight obsession with agate rocks (though if you ask her mom, “slight” might not be the word she’d use).

Now based in Vancouver, she’s focused on growing with her new team and inspiring the next generation of athletes..
