Ann-Renée Desbiens is one of the most accomplished goaltenders in women’s hockey and a cornerstone of Team Canada’s success. A three-time Olympic medalist, she helped Canada capture silver in Pyeongchang 2018, gold at Beijing 2022 and silver at Milano Cortina 2026, consistently delivering in the sport’s biggest moments.

At the professional level, Ann-Renée stars for the Montréal Victoire, where she is known for her composure, athleticism, and game changing saves. Before turning pro, she built an exceptional NCAA career at the University of Wisconsin, winning a national championship and setting program records.

Originally from Quebec, Ann-Renée is respected for her calm leadership, resilience, and consistency under pressure. Her excellence on the ice and steady presence off it make her one of Canada’s most trusted and inspiring athletes.

Originally from Clermont, Quebec, she enjoys spending quality time with family, friends and her dog Bamboo. Passionate about giving back, she runs hockey camps and mentors young goalies, helping the next generation build confidence and love for the game. She also earned a degree in accounting, reflecting the same discipline and focus that define her career in sport.
